It was one other busy week for the members of Buncrana Golf Membership.

Results of Open Stableford Sweep

The competitors final weekend was an Open Stableford Sweep, the Saturday gamers had one of the best

of the climate situations and it was no shock then to see a Saturday participant taking first prize.

That participant was Andy Gormley (26) who shot a really spectacular 42 pts to take the primary prize and

he will probably be wanting ahead to the winter league match play this weekend. Martin Gillespie (16)

took Class 2 with 41 pts, Mark Cocks took Class 1 with 39 pts and one of the best day went to

Sean Mc Menamin who shot 35 pts on Sunday morning.

Christmas Hamper Qualifying

The qualifying for the Annual Christmas Hamper has commenced and the format is as follows 0-

7 handicaps 20 pts to qualify and eight+ handicaps 21 pts to qualify. The associated fee will probably be €4.00 for the

first try and €2.00 thereafter. Hamper playing cards might be taken along side the Winter

League if the format is appropriate.

 Fundraising Bingo

The membership are operating a Fund Elevating Bingo in affiliation with iCare within the Inishowen Gateway

Lodge on Thursday seventh December 2023. Homes will probably be €100, Home 5&9 will €150, Sheet Home €250 and the final Home €1000. The entry charge will probably be – single ebook €15, double ebook €20 and the books include a free sheet. A great turnout from members and common bingo gamers could be significantly appreciated.
