Martin Hegarty has been nominated to place his title ahead to the Fianna Fáil choice conference within the Donegal electoral space.
Martin was chosen on the Fianna Fáil Kilcar Cumann assembly final weekend as they put together for the 2024 native elections this summer season.
Talking following his nomination, Martin mentioned he was honoured to be chosen by the Cumann and that he had a eager curiosity in politics and hoped to be a voice for his locality and neighborhood.
Martin is the residential companies supervisor at Carrick sheltered housing, an avid GAA fan and former participant, and member of St Carthas pipe band. He’s additionally the vice Chairperson of Comhairle Paroiste Cill Chartha and a member of the Board of Administration of Scoil Cartha Naofa.
The Cumann assembly had a robust attendance from the area people within the Kilcar space, and from former Tánaiste and Fianna Fáil County Govt Chairperson Mary Coughlan.
