Irish rallying world loses one other star

The Irish motorsport neighborhood was shocked and saddened yesterday to listen to of the unhappy passing of Sarah Purcell, aged 38.
The younger driver from Waterford and late of Mallow died peacefully on Friday following a bravely borne battle with sickness.
She was an inspiration to many, particularly to younger ladies beginning out in rallying.
Sarah, neé Moynihan, is a niece of the legendary John Moynihan, a specialist in Mk I and Mk II Ford Escort rally automobiles. Her household can also be behind the EARS (Escort and Rally Spares) motorsport enterprise.
